Position      

The mission of a functional analyst is to design an application functionally.

To do this, you analyze the user needs collected by the business analyst, contribute to the definition of requirements (functional and non-functional) and formalize the functional specifications that meet them, taking into account the technical possibilities/restrictions.

You will also play an active role in the system testing and integration phases and ensure that the application documentation is kept up to date.

You will work within the HR, Sales & Marketing IT team.

 

Profile

  • You have a master’s degree or equivalent experience; you wish to maintain and develop your IT knowledge and have a strong interest in designing IT solutions.
  • You have a strong interest in designing IT solutions and you ideally have professional experience in the banking and insurance sector.
  • You have at least 5 years of professional experience in the analysis of web-oriented solutions, either for external clients (website, extranet) or internal clients (intranet).
  • You are interested in both the purely functional and technical side of applications.
  • You are familiar with object-oriented concepts, the UML modelling language and Microsoft technologies (.Net, MS-SQL, …).

Position

Description

The program gathers a set of projects that are the basis for a new IT governance at the level of the region, i.e. the Brussels data platform, the chargeback mechanisms, the regional procurement office, the Brussels cloud and the desktop management.

The mission consists in ensuring the continuity in the management of the different governance bodies of the IT Cost Optimization Program of the Brussels Region, the management of some 'in flight' projects such as the implementation of a regional 'retrospective/backcharging' mechanism for strategic IT services.

The strategic objectives of the program are:

  • The optimization of the IT costs of the Brussels region through reduction of the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
  • The optimization of the workload
  • Optimization of demand management
  • Modernization of the regional IT in order to meet future demand in a flexible, scalable, competitive, secure and sustainable way

The present mission order therefore consists in calling upon:

A Project Manager who, in direct line with the project sponsor and the program unit, will

  • establish a project plan including objectives and scope, schedule, tasks and deliverables, review and approval cycle, organization, reporting;
  • monitor costs, schedule compliance and resources throughout the project;
  • provide effective coordination of the project team by ensuring its motivation;
  • contribute to the updating of the business case;
  • ensure the identification and management of dependencies, risks and issues and assumptions impacting the project.

Education

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or related field; or you have equivalent work experience.

Experience

  • Experienced role as a Project Manager of at least 5 years
  • Certified of PM principles (PMP, Prince2, … ) is considered a plus
  • You are able to orchestrate activities between different IT and business roles

Description

Your main tasks and responsibilities are the following:

  • Designing and implementing batch and real-time data ingestion pipelines for Azure Data Lake or similar cloud based (e.g. AWS/CGP) data warehouse or data lake solutions
  • Implementing data lineage and reconciliation mechanisms (including monitoring dashboards and alerts)
  • Implementing data cataloguing, archiving and disaster recovery
  • Working with data source and data consumption teams to align on data structures and schemas

Mandatory skills:

  • Familiarity with modern, cloud-based data/BI technologies (data lakes, data warehouses, ETL/ELT, Spark)
  • Experience with implementing data ingestion pipelines / ETLs / ELTs
  • General knowledge of Azure or comparable platform and ecosystem – Storage Account, CosmosDB (SQL & Gremlin API), Event Hub, App Services
  • Experience with at least 3 of following Azure data technologies, or similar technologies for competitive Cloud technologies:
