Function

Under the coordination of the Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for setting up, piloting and leading initiatives aimed at establishing and integrating enterprise architecture throughout the organization. You will actively participate in the promotion of 'Agile' and 'DevOps' approaches.  

The main tasks will be as follows:

  • Take the initiative to establish common and global strategies in terms of architecture and technology, as well as 'best practices' throughout the organization, taking into account budget limits.

  • Master the global architecture: business, application and technological level. Be able to rely on this architecture to make good decisions or help others to be able to make decisions accordingly
  • Collaborate and be the SPOC (Single Point Of Contact) also for Business stakeholders: understand the business requirements, the 'why' (business case included) and be able to discuss and explain our architecture and our IT solutions.

You will work within the “IT Driven Solutions” team, but will have to lend a hand to other teams using the same technologies.

In your function you will report to the manager of the “IT Driven Solutions” team and transversally you will be part of the community of architects led by the Enterprise Architect.

Profile

  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or similar.
  • You are expert in defining, designing and developing distributed and scalable products and services, including reusable micro-services focused on the cross-platform / hybrid 'cloud' domain (such as Microsoft Azure, AWS) using an API Gateway.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar function.
  • You are fluent in French and / or Dutch both orally and in writing, and you have a very good command of English.
  • You are customer-oriented, think in terms of solutions and include your work in a real quality approach.

Function

Main responsibilities

  • Help define the objectives and requirements of the project, while involving all the stakeholders concerned;

Function

Attached to the IT development team (the “Change”), the Business Analyst assists the Business in defining its needs and formalizing requirements within the framework of IT projects or evolutionary maintenance. 

You perform impact analyzes to assess the potential implications on existing business processes, roles and activities. 

Finally, the Business Analyst supports the Business in the testing phase (user acceptance test). 

For the definition of needs

  • During the initial phase of the project, you understand and help the project manager to list all the Business needs for their consideration in the Business Case while also noting the possible impacts in other business lines. 
  • You identify the Business (Key Users and others) and IT stakeholders to be involved in the functional study and the collection of requirements. 
  • You formalize the Business processes that have to evolve within the framework of the project or the maintenance activity. You advise and guide the Business if necessary. 
  • In collaboration with the Functional Analyst, you define and document the requirements – Business, Functional and Non-Functional using elicitation techniques such as brainstorming, workshops, focus groups, etc. You formalize them so as to facilitate the translation into features and user stories. 
  • You ensure that the requirements are properly understood, taken into account and implemented by the functional analysts and developers while ensuring their involvement. 
  • You get the necessary validations in order to draw up a baseline of the requirements 
  • You contribute to the definition of the project backlog (features) and to the breakdown of each of the project's features into user stories

For acceptance tests

  • You contribute to the definition of the testing strategy by providing the input for the acceptance tests in the Initiate / Plan phase of the project. 
  • For each iteration (feature (s)) during the execution phase of the project, you define the plans and scenarios of the acceptance tests in alignment with the Business Key Users and the Test Manager.

  • Collaborate with the functional analysts and / or the test manager to validate that the planned tests sufficiently cover the risks and comply with the specifications.
  • Document the scenarios, conditions and test data as well as the expected results in the templates and tools selected by Fédérale Assurance.
  • Ensure that all tests are performed in the applicable environment, with the appropriate data set.
  • Write, maintain and execute non-regression, performance, and security tests.
  • Document the test results and communicate them to the development team and the test manager.
  • Document the anomalies, analyze the test results with the appropriate actors. Feed the backlog of development teams accordingly.

Function    

         

The Developer is in charge of developing new applications as well as improving and upgrading existing applications according to detailed specifications and the technical architecture chosen. You therefore have the skills to understand the analyzes received (UML, database diagram), search for additional technical information that may be necessary to technically design, program in one or more technologies, test and put applications into production. 

You will work within the “HR, Sales & Marketing” IT team.

 

Profile

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar.
  • You demonstrate a mastery of the following languages ​​and technologies: .Net C #, Asp.Net, Angular, HTML, SQL, as well as a CSS framework (ideally Bootstrap).

Telecom Performance Engineer

 

As a Telecom Performance Engineer you will be part of a team of Radio Access & Core Networks and Transmission specialists. You will be responsible for providing support and expertise for in-depth performance analysis on a 4G/5G network infrastructure using multiple sources of data and measurements.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

 

– Defining objective criteria that allow monitoring the performance (KPI) of the future LTE Radio Access & Core networks, covering capacity, quality,  throughput and availability aspects.

– Proactively monitor indicators that are crucial for VoLTE and 4G/5G technologies and investigate the possible causes in case of deterioration of  some KPIs.

– Analyze the technical changes made to the access & core networks and their possible impact on KPIs.

– Work closely with the Operational Efficiency team and with the ASTRID Service Centre  in order fix the performance issues of the 4G/5G networks.

– Work closely with the internal (Next Gen Communications) and external stakeholders  to define the methodologies and targets  to measure the 4G/5G KPIs (KPI, KQI) in the context of setting up and delivering the 4G/5G MOCN services.

–  Define measurable targets for the various KPIs in close collaboration with the Data & Analytics team, in order to create reports using large amounts of data in the context of analyzing the performance of the 4G/5G networks.

– Be able to use programming languages such as Python, SQL… and data display tools, to analyze large data sets and present information to  various stakeholders.

– Summarize and communicate relevant information regarding the performance of the 4G/5G networks to the stakeholders using graphical views and/or other appropriate methods.

– Be able to analyze and  understand a combination of qualitative and quantitative data using various data sources, prepare technical reports and provide information and applicable recommendations on complex issues.

– Coach the other engineers of the team on 4G/5G topics.

 

 

 

 

Required experience and skills:

– Master's degree in Electronics or in data science, or equivalent experience is a plus.

– More than 5 years of professional experience in LTE Radio Access / Core Network systems and RF engineering.

– Solid technical knowledge of wireless technologies, particularly LTE/VoLTE and 5G (capacity, coverage, signaling, voice…).

– Expert understanding of operational measurements/counters to define and monitor Critical Performance Indicators (KPI).

– Highly skilled in oral and written communication; able to present technical and non-technical ideas to audiences from diverse backgrounds.

– Experience in evaluating trends in the performance of voice and data services and in proactively identifying problems related to the performance of the Radio Access and Core Networks systems.

– Experience in the visual representation of Data and understanding of statistical methods. A very good command of current technology trends in data analysis, including emerging practices.

– Demonstrated expertise in researching and solving problems through acquired professional experience. Experience with a wireless infrastructure provider and/or operator is desirable.

– Ability to take initiative and organize work; be customer and result oriented; be able to manage priorities.

Radio Access Expert

Radio Access Network Expert

 

As a Radio Access Network Expert, you will be part of the Radio Access Network team. You will be responsible for providing support and expertise for the deployment and optimization of a 4G/5G access network infrastructure. You will lead all RAN design activities and act as the key person of contact with the Next Generation Communications team, managing all aspects of high level RAN design and detailed design for all 4G and 5G RAN technologies, including radio hardware, software, parameters and features introduction.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

– Deliver the best "mission critical" 4G/5G network in accordance with ASTRID's strategic guidelines, using your  skills in cellular planning, site selection and in designing outdoor and indoor sites, both in terms of coverage and capacity.

– Perform the cellular planning activities from A to Z, from the creation of the site search zones to the integration and commissioning, planning and definition of the antennas and of the parameters of the e-Node Bs.

– Provide and maintain a national coverage and capacity plan in line with ASTRID's strategy, acting as the main contact with the Next Generation Communications cell.

– Ensure that all tools related to the configuration of the sites and the project monitoring databases are kept up-to-date; make recommendations for improvement to ensure data integrity.

– Manage and maintain the RF planning tool to support all radio planning activities and provide coverage and capacity reports related to the rollout program.

– Update the configuration of the radio planning tool for adding new radio hardware.

– Update the data of the radio sites, e-Node B's and  cells in the RF planning tool from the different data sources, produce reports and ensure a high degree of accuracy of the data.

– Provide support to the Coverage & Performance planning team and advise on how to define the necessary parameters in the radio planning tool.

– Work closely with the Operational Efficiency team and with the ASTRID Service Centre to resolve coverage and capacity issues of the 4G/5G networks.

– Work closely with the internal (Next Gen Communications) and external stakeholders to define the objectives and the methodologies for the 4G/5G networks rollout, in the context of setting up and delivering 4G/5G MOCN services.

– Communicate relevant information regarding the 4G/5G network deployment to various stakeholders, by using graphics and/or other appropriate methods.

– Coach the other engineers in the team on 4G/5G topics.

 

Required experience and skills:

– More than 5 years of professional experience in LTE Radio Access systems and RF engineering.

– Solid technical knowledge of wireless technologies, in particular LTE/VoLTE and 5G (capacity, coverage, signaling, voice…).

– Expert understanding of 4G/5G planning (site acquisition, construction, radiation standards…) and in setting up the parameters of the different elements of the RAN.

– Highly skilled in oral and written communication; able to present technical and non-technical ideas to audiences from diverse backgrounds.

– Demonstrated expertise in solving problems through acquired professional experience. Experience with a wireless infrastructure provider and/or operator is desirable.
