About the Role
To support growing operational needs, an international company operating in a fast‑growing and decentralized environment is reinforcing its Cybersecurity Operations team.
The organization evolves in a dynamic, multi‑site setup with regular integrations and change, which requires strong, pragmatic, and hands‑on cybersecurity operations. This is not a highly standardized or heavily regulated environment such as banking or insurance.
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Operations Engineer (SecOps) to strengthen daily security operations and support incident‑driven activities.
⚠️ This is a hands‑on operational role, focused on detection, monitoring, and response.
It is not an architecture or strategic cybersecurity position.
Key Responsibilities
Security Operations
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events
- Investigate and respond to security incidents
- Support incident resolution and remediation activities
SOC Activities
- Operate in a Security Operations Center (SOC) context
- Contribute to improving detection and response capabilities
- Support incident handling and operational security processes
Operational Cybersecurity
- Support daily cybersecurity activities across multiple environments
- Work in a distributed, multi‑site IT landscape
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to improving tools, processes, and ways of working
- Apply a pragmatic and solution‑oriented approach to operational challenges
Required Skills & Experience
Must‑Have
- Experience in Cybersecurity Operations (SecOps)
- Hands‑on exposure to a SOC environment
- Strong knowledge of incident detection and response
- Understanding of DNS and network security fundamentals
- Operational, pragmatic, and hands‑on mindset
Nice‑to‑Have
- Experience in distributed or international environments
- Exposure to fast‑growing or less mature IT environments
- Background in industrial or manufacturing environments is a plus
Seniority Level
- Target profile: Medior (3–6 years of relevant experience)
- Also considered:
- Junior+ profiles (2–3 years) with strong SOC exposure and high potential
- Senior profiles, provided they remain hands‑on and operational
Soft Skills & Mindset (Critical)
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain security topics clearly

Working Conditions
- Hybrid setup with limited onsite presence in Gent
- Maximum 1 year on our payroll before internalization at the client.
