Job Purpose

Currently the project management team is involved in the coordination of a broad business transformation program, including the integration of several new technologies. To prepare the kick-off of this program, as well to ensure the further coordination of several project streams, Manpower Group wishes to enforce its Project management team with an experienced Project Manager.

Main tasks / responsibilities

  • Select, coach, motivate and manage cross-departmental project teams.
  • Connect with the business stakeholders to define project deliverables based upon the insights in the desired business processes
  • Translate the project deliverables in functional specifications and connect with the technical leads to ensure qualitative technology implementation.
  • Ensure the end-2-end project delivery in time, in scope and in budget. From definition to training and all steps in between.
  • Ensure correct and efficient project communication and report regularly on project status
  • You identify project issues on time, you fix them or properly escalate them
  • You organize the necessary project risk assessments and ensure close follow-up
  • You monitor the project performance indicators and where needed you step in to ensure the necessary improvements


Requirements: knowledge – Ability to -Profile

  • Current experienced role as a Project Manager of at least 3-5 years
  • Prince 2 certified is considered as an asset
  • Excellent communication skills (From internal project team to senior customer level)
  • You are fluent in French and / or Dutch both orally and in writing, and you have a very good command of English 
  • Excellent task management skills and handling to time and schedule
  • Demonstrable delivery of projects to time and budget
  • Experience in a similar industry is considered as an asset
  • You are an excellent team-player, client minded and service oriented, yet assertive.
  • Strong analytical skills, combined with a natural drive to improve processes

Delivering assigned tasks within the delivery cycle of an application development project. Tasks may include installing new systems applications; updating applications; performing configuration and testing activities; applications programming for assigned modules within a larger program.

You will be working under supervision from the Technical lead/Project Manager or a Senior Developer to accomplish assigned tasks. At the same time contribute a design for specific deliverables and assist in the development of technical solutions.

Job duties will include design, development and testing, using Java/J2EE technologies.

Help maintain a rigorous software build and testing framework for continuous building and testing the developed software and keep track of failed builds or build issues.

Prepare software technical documentation based on functional documentation and specifications, taking into account any specified functional and technical requirements.

You will be part of a fast growing and exciting division whose culture is entrepreneurial, professional, rooted in teamwork and innovation.

You will participates as part of a team and maintain good relationships with team members and customers.



Academic Bachelor or Master Degree.

3 or more years of professional experience in Java/J2EE development.



Functional/technical experience with Java/J2EE application development technologies and tools such as: Java, WebLogic Application Services, Wicket/HTML, Hibernate, Oracle Database/SQL, Maven, Sonar, Spring, XML/XSD, Web services, Junit/Mockito, Unix/Linux, Tomcat, etc.

Basic understanding of modern software design and development methodologies such as: OO, UML, Agile Development, SCRUM, Unit-testing, etc.

You have the ability to implement user-friendly product functionality, with an eye for design, performance, and overall user experience, taking advantage of your solid Java development knowledge.

Focus on code quality (reuse, adhere to standards, etc.).

Strong communication skills and the ability to learn quickly.

Be able to establish and document the impact and risks of code changes and new code implementations.

Java certification is a plus.
