About the role
We are looking for a R&D Tools Engineer to join the R&D organization of a large international technology company based in Antwerp. You will play a key role in supporting, maintaining, and enhancing internal web-based tools used daily by R&D and engineering teams.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working on internal tools, combining hands-on technical tasks, problem-solving, and close collaboration with engineers in a stable R&D environment.
Your responsibilities
Provide expert technical support for an internal R&D web platform, ensuring stability, performance, and reliability
Maintain and further develop existing features, as well as integrate new functionalities and enhancements
Collaborate closely with R&D and engineering teams to translate functional requirements into technical solutions
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues across the application and its underlying infrastructure
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the internal R&D tools ecosystem
Maintain clear and structured technical documentation (configurations, processes, evolutions)

Solid experience working in Linux environments (command line, scripting, basic system administration)
PHP for web development and scripting
JavaScript knowledge (front-end and/or back-end)

Profile
