Highly motivated production support engineers required to provide overnight and weekend support for an IMSDC/COBOL application for a major insurance company in based in Belgium. The ideal candidate will have 2nd /3rd Line support experience of Micro Focus Enterprise Server running COBOL Online and Batch applications in a Windows or Linux environment. Equally important is a willingness to learn new products and technologies integrated within the client’s application stack.

Experience in one or more of the following technologies and products is required :

 

  • DB: MS SQL Server with ODBC connectivity and Redis
  • Scheduling: BMC Control M Enterprise Manager, Server and Agents
  • OS: Windows Server
  • Security: ADLDS and local security policies
  • Scripting: PowerShell

Candidates will need to be comfortable in fault detection and diagnosis using a variety of Micro Focus trace files. The ability to logically follow errors to determine whether additional traces from other products are required.

The spoken language of the client is English, however working proficiency of French or Dutch would be advantageous.
