Program Cybersecurity Engineer

Our client:

Located in the province of Hainaut, our client specializes in the development and marketing of systems, equipment and services for the railway sector.

Purpose of the Job:

Manage the deployment and integration of cybersecurity related services for mainline programs under the responsibility of the Program Cyber Security Manager and of the System Engineering Manager.

Primary responsibilities:

– Deploy and validate the platform that supports the cybersecurity services in generic architectures;

– Integrate the cybersecurity platform in the railway signaling architectures;

– Support the cybersecurity platform deployment in specific project architectures;

– Define the cybersecurity processes, rules and guidelines for the cybersecurity platform integration and ensure that they are properly followed;

– Support system cybersecurity security assessment;

– Liaise with the cybersecurity platform development team;

– Liaise with the cybersecurity and system teams to define the most suitable solution at cybersecurity platform level to reduce the risk to an acceptable value;

– Specify the platform cybersecurity requirements and follow up their implementation;

– Perform technological watch and vulnerability management for the cybersecurity platform;

– Support the mainline platform cybersecurity manager in joint programs tackling the issue of the cybersecurity in the railway with a specific focus on PKI implementation and cybersecurity tests;

– Mentor the system and cybersecurity team about cybersecurity platform deployment.

Educational requirements:

Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology or related field

Desired knowledge / experience:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in railway signaling systems with strong architecture and functional knowledge

Hard skills:

– Familiar with network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP/IP, TLS, SSH, IPSEC, 802.1X, 801.1Q…) and PKI architectures

– Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Database Architect & Devops

Our client:

Located in the province of Hainaut, our client specializes in the development and marketing of systems, equipment and services for the railway sector.

Purpose of the job:

To integrate an existing software developed inhouse onto AZURE servers, adapt and optimize the processes and the structure of databases.

Main responsibilities:

Define and implement the right solutions in terms of architecture of data and processes in order to achieve a web application. This web application aims at gathering data and process them in order to optimize the remote maintenance of ERTMS products, developed in our client’s company.

– Based on received data and files, decode and store them on the servers

– Redefine architecture of the solution between AZURE servers, database and already implemented services

– Implement predictive algorithms to ease maintenance tasks

– Be part of the team developing the solution

Qualification & competencies:


Ideally a Master’s or Engineer Degree in Data architecture and / or programming


Experience and knowledge:

– Ideally at least 3 years’ experience in a similar position

– Knowledge of servers

– Knowledge of database management and architecture

– Azure, PostgreySql, Python, Kubernetes

– Ability to use new technologies, programming languages and tools

– Experience in software programming documentation

Language skills:

Good knowledge of English and French (spoken, read and written), as these 2 languages are used between the different teams working on the project. Any other additional language, with a preference for German, Dutch or Italian, is an asset
