Tester
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Test Engineer part time 20h/week to join our client team. You will be involved in performing automated and manual tests to ensure that the software created by developers is suitable for its intended purpose. Some of the tasks include analyzing software and systems, mitigating risks, and preventing software issues.
Responsibilities:
- Follow the test standards, guidelines, and methodology as specified in the test approach
- Analyze user stories and/or use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility
- Develop test scripts, test conditions, input test data, and expected results for one or more test streams, including application product, integration product, user acceptance, and operational acceptance tests, and execute them
- Execute test cases under various conditions
- Document and evaluate test results
- Detect, log, and report program errors and glitches
- Trace defects and assist in error resolution
- Evaluate test procedures and develop test scripts
- Collaborate with engineers to drive QA efforts
- Work closely with other team members and departments
Competencies:
- +7 years of experience in (automated) software testing and quality assurance
- Demonstrable experience in test automation with tools such as Selenium/ReadyApi or similar technologies
- Ability to devise automation solutions for software that cannot easily be tested in an automated manner
- Very good knowledge of test methodology and techniques (ISTQB, TMAP, …)
- Good knowledge of Jira and X-Ray plugin
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies, preferably SAFE
- Experience with regression testing
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Basic knowledge of Linux is a plus

Qualification:
- ISTQB Foundation, Agile, Advance Advanced Test Analyst, or other relevant certification
Language and location:
- Very good knowledge of French, Dutch, and English
- The tester must reside in Belgium and be able to come on-site up to 5 days per week (Brussels)
