Business Analyst – Risk (Cash Management)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with expertise in risk management and cash management systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks related to cash management operations, while working closely with business and technology teams to ensure effective risk controls and process improvements. This role will involve analyzing business requirements, designing risk mitigation strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and risk analysis for cash management processes and systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Develop and document risk mitigation strategies, policies, and procedures related to cash management.
- Analyze and evaluate existing cash management systems, identifying risks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Work with IT and business teams to design, implement, and test risk controls and solutions.
- Support the implementation of new cash management systems or upgrades, ensuring effective risk management practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, such as SOX, AML, KYC, and other financial compliance standards.
- Develop and maintain risk reports and dashboards for key stakeholders, including senior management and auditors.
- Provide recommendations to improve cash management processes, controls, and reporting.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on risk management and cash management systems.
- In-depth knowledge of cash management processes, banking systems, and financial regulations.
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and provide actionable recommendations.
- Familiarity with financial and risk management tools, such as Treasury Management Systems (TMS) and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to document business requirements, create functional specifications, and develop business cases.
- Analytical thinking with the ability to identify risks and propose solutions.
- Experience in working within highly regulated financial environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as FRM, PRM, or CFA.
- Familiarity with cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and treasury operations.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks like SOX, AML, KYC, and Basel III.
