We are looking for a skilled Project Manager to join a dynamic team focused on shaping the IT future of the Belgian Railways. This role offers the chance to work closely with customers, leading IT projects to successful delivery and making an impact on the services that affect millions of people.
About the Role:
As a Project Manager, you will oversee the delivery of IT projects from start to finish, managing scope, budget, and timelines while ensuring the highest quality standards. You’ll be an integral part of the Commercial Channels and Products (CCP) delivery organization, handling both front-end sales and after-sales channels, as well as the corresponding back-end products. Reporting to the Business Area Lead, you will work alongside various stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project delivery: Oversee all stages of the project, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery while meeting agreed scope and quality standards.
- Define project goals and deliverables: Collaborate with management and stakeholders to set clear objectives that align with business goals.
- Monitor performance: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the business value created by the project deliverables.
- Budget and resource management: Prepare budget proposals, suggest changes when needed, and ensure financial accountability throughout the project.
- Effective communication: Provide timely updates to the project team and stakeholders, keeping everyone aligned on progress, risks, and expectations.
- Risk management: Identify potential risks and issues early, devising mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project flow.
- Stakeholder collaboration: Liaise continuously with the client, IT teams, and relevant parties to ensure project success.

Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of project management experience with a proven track record of delivering IT projects.
- Fluent in Dutch, French, and English.
- Strong interest and experience in IT, particularly within complex environments.
- Background in public transport projects and e-commerce solutions is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, SAFe Essentials, and PM²/PMBOK.
- Project Methodology Certification required (PM², PMBOK, Prince2, etc.).
- Strong communication and leadership skills, capable of facilitating meetings, guiding teams, and producing clear documentation for various audiences.
- Legal authorization to work in Belgium.
- Ability to work in a hybrid work environment, with a minimum of two days onsite each week, or more when the project demands.
