As a Data Quality Officer in our Data Governance team, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing our Data Quality framework. Your expertise will ensure that data quality becomes a cornerstone of our organization, supporting both IT and business teams in their journey toward excellence.

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and guide the vision for the company’s Data Quality framework, including processes, roles, tools, and reporting dimensions, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Communicate and explain the framework across IT and business teams to foster understanding and adoption.
  • Raise awareness of the importance of data quality and its impact across the organization.
  • Support, coach, and train teams during the implementation of the Data Quality framework, focusing on operational roles like data owners and data stewards.
  • Lead and participate in data quality communities, both internally and externally.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) in relation to data quality.
  • Collaborate with business teams to define Data Quality Business Rules for specific data assets and implement these rules using tools like Python and SQL.
  • Assist teams in monitoring and improving their data quality scores.
  • Identify, prioritize, and address critical data quality concerns that require attention.

Your Skills & Expertise

  • Proven experience in data quality management within a large organization.
  • Strong understanding of Data Governance and Data Management principles.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture and Data & Analytics.
  • Expertise in business and functional analysis.
  • Familiarity with data management and governance tools is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in analytics tools such as SQL, Python, and Azure.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and set realistic objectives.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical and regulatory information to non-technical audiences.
  • A proactive mindset, capable of challenging requirements and proposing alternative solutions.
  • A Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Fluent in Dutch or French and English, with active knowledge of either French or Dutch.
  • Willingness to learn new data governance tools and programming languages.
