Context

To help them in their exciting projects and strengthen the Business Intelligence Competence Center, we are currently looking for a

BI manager (m/f)

Position   

  • As a manager of the BICC (Business Intelligence Competence Center) team, you will manage the team developing and maintaining the Data Intelligence platform in DevSecOps
  • You contribute to the achievement of business and architectural ambitions by ensuring that the team has all the skills, whether through internal or external resources, needed to analyse and implement BI projects and to manage the production; and by developing the team's soft and hard skills so that it is always able to adapt and respond to current and future technological or organisational challenges
  • You develop the skills and knowledge of the staff to ensure functional and technological mastery of the DI platform within the company
  • You are responsible for the team's capacity and budget
  • You will work closely with the solution & data architects, scrum masters and project managers, business stakeholders, product owners and CDOs who are involved in the data domain, as well as with the IT teams with whom you will regularly work
  • You work hand in hand with run teams to meet the company's requirements in terms of security, platform stability and quality of support service to users
  • You maintain and develop a relationship of trust with the partners in charge of the cloud infrastructure, platform maintenance, operational support (release management, data load, etc.), and sourcing.
  • You ensure that the team is involved in the implementation of data governance within the company, both in terms of governance bodies and data governance processes. You are active in these bodies and participate in the monitoring of the data governance processes.

 

Profile

  • You have a university degree, at least two years of experience as a team manager or at least as a team leader and have experience in the field of business intelligence, either functional or technical. A good knowledge of data modelling is certainly a plus.
  • You ideally have knowledge of the following technologies: SAS DI, SAS EG, SAS Viya, SAS DDS for Insurance
  • You have good conceptual and analytical skills and are able to apply theory and concepts to practical situations. Your good communication skills and active listening skills enable you to facilitate collaboration and build trust, thereby gaining the support of the different parties involved.
  • You are driven by a desire to develop the skills of your colleagues and to seek their autonomy
  • You have the ability to plan, organize, decide and communicate.
  • You are constructive and pragmatic in solving problems and you are results oriented.
  • You are able to work independently but are also able to work collaboratively within a cross-functional organization.
  • You have an active knowledge of Dutch or French and English.
