Context

Project Manager (m / f)

Function             

The Project Manager manages one or more projects, from the identification phase to the end. It is about coordinating people, activities and risks to ensure that projects are delivered on time, produce desired results and stay on budget;

These can be both legal initiatives, the realization of business opportunities in an insurance field or transversal solutions.

Main responsibilities

  • Help define the objectives and requirements of the project, while involving all the stakeholders concerned; 
  • Surround yourself with the relevant stakeholders (architect, Technology team leaders, but also Legal, Risk, etc.) to determine dependencies and risks. You make sure that all stakeholders are well informed and involved;
  • Be responsible for defining the 'backlog' of 'features' to be provided by the project with the contribution of the right stakeholder;
  • Align very regularly with delivery teams to monitor progress, communicate all useful information transparently and deal with sticking points;
  • Report regularly to management through the governing bodies and use, where appropriate, hierarchical remedies;
  • Monitor the continuous updating of the project management tool (Planview) against information on your project's budget, planning, status and risks;
  • Encourage teams to identify lessons learned for each phase and consolidate them across the project;
  • Take charge of the transfer to the Strategy Office and Business department for the monitoring of post-project benefits. 

 

Profile

  • Experienced in managing digital projects and / or large transformation projects.
  • Good understanding or practical experience of the software delivery lifecycle. Interest in technological aspects in general.
  • You are fluent in French and / or Dutch both orally and in writing, and you have a very good command of English
  • Experience with agile or scrum is an asset.
  • Experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
  • Self-discipline, sense of organization and planning, dynamism.
  • Strong communication, presentation and workshop facilitation skills, negotiation skills.
  • Mastery of conflict resolution and risk management techniques.
  • Being able to facilitate project-related meetings, while remaining diplomatic towards teams with other goals.
  • Ability to quickly understand business processes and interests and the impact of the project.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodology, tools and models (project planning, stakeholder management, dependency management, change control and budget management).
