Our client is a pharmaceutical company providing advanced delivery technologies and development solutions for drugs, biologics and consumer health products. For his sterile production site in Brussels, he is looking for a (m/f) QC Chemical Manager.

Function

You will report to the Quality Control Manager. You will be responsible of the QC Chemical Laboratory and manage a team (about 15 people) in charge of quality control of incoming materials, in process control, finished products and testing stability studies. He/she will strongly interact with other departments, such as supply chain, manufacturing, quality assurance and R&D.

Specifically :
– Managing the QC Chemistry team: staff support, coaching, training and recruitment
– Ensuring smooth running of the lab: on-time & GMP-compliant analyses; housekeeping of the lab
– Ensuring follow-up of day-to-day activities, supervising implementation and progress
– Implementing new methods after development phase done by R&D team.
– Managing SOPs, change controls, deviations, OOS and CAPA.
– Support audit and inspection activities.
– Contact with external customers for QC related issues.
– Ensuring good relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
– Leading QC optimization processes.

Requirements

– University degree in a scientific discipline (chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacy)
– At least 5 years’ experience in QC in the pharmaceutical industry
– People Management Skills (Leadership experience)
– Strong laboratory skills and good knowledge of analytical chemistry
– Strong knowledge of GMP regulations (US and Eur)
– Customer oriented, team player, focused on improvement
– Good knowledge of French and English (oral and written)
– Flexible and agree to work in 2 shift if needed
